We start the day with a visit to Coventry Cathedral, then make our escape from the city using the Coventry Canal towpath and the Sowe Valley footpath. After lunch things become more rural as we skirt Coombe Abbey Country Park. There's a bit of road walking before we reach Brinklow with its church and castle, then join the Oxford Canal to the edge of Rugby, which we enter on the Black Path.
