Day 1: Travel to Worcester and Induction

Today we gather in Worcester ready to start our pilgrimage. You need to register and drop your luggage at St George's, but then you are free to explore Worcester - just be sure to be at the Cathedral in good time for our Induction Service at 16:30.

Directions from Worcester Foregate Street Station to St George's Church Hall (5 minute walk):

Come out of the main entrance of the station onto Foregate Street and turn right, then first right onto Pierpoint Street. At the end, turn right under the railway on Sansome Walk. The church is on the left where this meets the main Sansome Street.

From Worcester Shrub Hill Station (15 minutes walk):

turn right out of the station, then as road bears left take narrow footpath to left of car park to Tollardine Road ("No cycling" sign). Cross and turn left (away from railway bridge). At mini roundabout, left then keep right on Lowesmoor, then bear right on Sansome Street. St George's is on the right..

If coming by car, the car park is off Sansome Place (behind the church) WR1 1UT

Below is a list of some of the other sites in Worcester that you may want to visit before or after registering. There is no need to wait around after registering. You may make your own way to the cathedral for our Induction Service, rather than waiting for the “official” departure at 16.00.Listed in sequence from St George's to the cathedral (see map, below)
