Amen
Our final walking day is a half day, although still almost 10 miles before lunch. We first make our way across the grounds of the magnificent Powderham Castle (where you may spot some deer wandering), before following the shore of the mouth of the river Exe up to Exminster. We then rejoin the Exeter Canal and follow this into the centre of the city and up to the Cathedral close. Here pilgrims are left to find their own eateries, before we gather in the Cathedral close for our own service in the Cathedral. We then end our pilgrimage with Evensong in the Cathedral, before returning to the hall for our own celebrations.
